The Museum is excited to announce the Family Saturday Programme.
Held on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 2pm – 4pm; this session is ideal for families with children up to the age of 10. We encourage parents to stay with their children as they learn about part of the Museum’s collection or something new about Dorking’s history.
There is no need to pre-book; just arrive at the Museum ready to start at 2pm. All materials will be provided for you and your family.
Saturday December 21st – Victorians
Find out what happened in Victorian Dorking by taking the “ Be a History Detective” trail round the Museum. Find out all about how people lived back then. We know things were different, but was anything the same as today? Make a Victorian style Christmas card.
Saturday January 18th 2014 – The Railway
We have many train related artefacts and pictures. Come and help us sort our train cards by age. Then make a simple moving train card.
Saturday February 15th 2014 – The Dorking Cockerel
Make a Cockerel mask or make a cockerel picture using collage materials.
