Held on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 2pm – 4pm; this session is ideal for families with children up to the age of 10. We encourage parents to stay with their children as they learn about part of the Museum’s collection or something new about Dorking’s history.
There is no need to pre-book; just arrive at the Museum ready to start at 2pm. All materials will be provided for you and your family.
Saturday 15th February - Schools then and now
What was it like for school children 20, 50 or even 100 years ago? What was the same and what was different from today? Come along and explore objects and photos and perhaps try some dressing up.

Saturday 15th March – Brick and Frogs
What do frogs have to do with bricks? Frogs were the symbol on bricks and our local bricks have some special frogs. Learn about the pattern bricks can make and see if you can find the brick patterns on a detective walk around Dorking
Saturday 19th April - Easter Egg Hunt
Collect a clue sheet and try and spot all the paper eggs hidden over the Museum. Once a complete set of eggs has been found, the letters on each one will spell out a phrase. For every completed answer sheet we receive – we’ll give you an egg to take home!
