Family Activities at Dorking Museum

Family Activities

Held on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 2pm – 4pm; this session is ideal for families with children up to the age of 10. We encourage parents to stay with their children as they learn about part of the Museum’s collection or something new about Dorking’s history.

There is no need to pre-book; just arrive at the Museum ready to start at 2pm. All materials will be provided for you and your family.

Saturday 19th April - Easter Egg Hunt

Collect a clue sheet and try and spot all the paper eggs hidden over the Museum. Once a complete set of eggs has been found, the letters on each one will spell out a phrase. For every completed answer sheet we receive – we’ll give you an egg to take home!

Please download a poster to display here

Saturday 17th May – The Paintings of G.E. Collins

Come and look at the bird paintings of George Edward Collins (1880-1968). See how many different birds you can spot, both wild and in the farmyard. Try your hand at making a pop-up bird picture.

Saturday 21st June – The Dorking Cockerel

Come and celebrate the famous Dorking Cockerel.
Can you make a cockerel picture or cockerel mask?
